How to get PayPal Client ID and Client Secret?
PayPal is a safe and secure way to collect money online. PayPal has different requirements for accounts based on the country of origin. In some cases, a business account is required, while in others a personal account may suffice, such as in the United States.
Should you use a Paypal business account, and how does it differ from a Paypal personal account?
Changing your PayPal Personal Account to a no-cost Business Account enables you to set the business name and email that appear on PayPal's dashboard and email notifications, unlike Personal Accounts which display the legal name and email address associated with the account.
To use PayPal on Crowdfundly, you will need to enter your Client ID and Client Secret. Here's how to find them on your PayPal account:
Step 01: To get started, visit the PayPal Developer website and sign in by hitting "Login to Dashboard".
Step 02: Sign in to your PayPal developer account using the same email and password as your regular PayPal account.
Step 03: From the developer dashboard, make sure the "Live" toggle is enabled.
Note: Depending on your country of origin, you may be required to upgrade from a Personal Account to a Business Account.
Step 04: Next, go to the "Apps & Credentials" section and select "Create App".
Step 05: Give your app a name, like "My Crowdfundly" and choose "Merchant" as the app type.
Step 06: Finally, you will be able to find and copy your Client ID and Client Secret, and use them to set up the PayPal payment option on your Crowdfundly dashboard settings.
